I ordered this ladderkart prepared to be disappointed; the price was pretty good, compared to other handcarts that I'd priced, and it would really fill dual niches: step stool and handcart.
It does so wonderfully. The steps are wide, and the high cushioned handle gives one something to hold on to when standing on the top step. The ladder is sturdy and stable, not a wobble to be felt. It folds flat, and is easy to store. I've got mine in my front coat closet, against a wall. It takes up little space, so I don't have to lug it from the basement when I want to use it. The handcart function is very handy; we have used it to move boxes of books around. It will carry 250 pounds as a cart, and my back is very thankful!
I recommend this product. You might find better, I suppose, but not for this price!

...a Compact Ladder would be nice as well. It is noisy when you are pulling it around. I have used it a few times since i purchased and it seems like a decent piece of equipment at first. The transporting of equipment seems cool but the head (the hand truck base) seems to be fragile. The steps are narrow but it's okay to work with.
Overall, I should of sticked to purchasing a regular heavy duty step ladder and call it a day. I will continue to use this until their is a surplus in the company.

I saw a similar item on a shopping channel and thought I'd see if I could find it on Amazon. There is another one like this on Amazon but slightly more in cost. I didn't realize until I got this one that the difference is that this one doesn't have wheels that turn in when the the ladder is closed. The wheels stick out which increases the profile at the bottom. I'm also finding it a bit difficult to open and close the step ladder, but neither is a big enough of a concern for me to send it back. It does what I want which is serves as a handtruck so I can get things down the elevator in my apartment building and across the street to the parking garage. It also nicely replaces the step ladder that took up too much space in my apartment. Even with the wheels sticking out this fits in the closet so I'm happy.
