I got this less than 24 hours ago, and I can't believe how long I waited to buy one. The keys are so easy to press compared to the common design keyboard. My wpm definitely increased. It sounds great too! I got the blue-cherry model. I could have gotten the all black keys, but someday I might pass this keyboard on to another person, well, not sure if that will ever happen though lol. I bought this since I'm a college student, and spend sometime writing papers, programming, and playing games. I'm sure who ever buys this will find an excuse to use it, like writing a review on amazon for example. It is great for Starcraft 2 also. Tactile, responds, and feedback is much better than my old non-mechanical keyboard. I tend to hit the cap-key by accident sometime since I come from a wider Microsoft keyboard. It feels a little cramp, but I'll get use to it since Das is standard size, nothing too big or too small. I went back to my old keyboard, for a second, and felt that I have to use more pressure to press the keys. There is a huge difference between pressing a switch compared to pressing on rubber on common keyboard. How can I explain this.. when you press on a switch it pushes itself down. When you press on rubber, you have to push it down. This is where the double-clicking sound comes from. Click 1, the switch moves itself down, Click 2, the button hits the keyboard. The clicking noise is about half the noise of a loud typewriter. I would not recommend this for a quiet office or library use, even the Silent version of this keyboard is too loud for those settings. Besides the quality of the keys. The rubber gripping underneath the keyboard really keeps it in place. It is actually too much since I tend to move my keyboard around a lot, but from this you know that the gripping will last a long time. I really like the smooth finishing on the keyboard. It gives the keyboard a modern look, while the keyboard itself has a very basic design. There are two USB on the right side, and it will not interfere with your mouse, if you are right handed. The spacing between the USB ports are similar to many laptops. Overall, it is definitely worth the price. Even for a gamer, I rather have this keyboard, then a logitech keyboard with all that gaming feature. The trade off is worth it, not just because it will last a long time, but because you will enjoy using it during that time. Anyone that types moderately should consider getting one.

The Das Keyboard is really of great quality! I love the mechanical keys, and the addition of two extra USB ports on the side of the keyboard. The keyboard definitely makes some noise, but that is to be expected with the mechanical keys. Besides, it's my comfort that counts.
